I like Harry Potter books
(see also UK link)

My name is Emma Jane Bowen. I live in Sonning, Oxfordshire. I go to The Abbey School in Reading. I am learning to play the piano. I used to go to Rupert House School in Henley-on-Thames. Before that I went to the Squirrel School. In 1997 I decided not to eat red meat. We have a cat called Rhubarb.

My birthday is 3rd July and I was born in 1988. I have a big sister is called Alice. She is a tele-addict and can be very annoying! My Daddy is a chocoholic. He plays with computers but claims it is work. My mummy works in a museum called the River and Rowing Museum.

In 1997 I went to The Netherlands. We stayed at the Gran Dorado Park in Zandvoort, near the beach. I visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and have been reading her diary. In August 1998 I went to Alton Towers and went on the Oblivion and Nemesis rides (which are much faster than their Web site!). In September I went to a Birthday Party at the Rainforest Cafe in London.

This summer I visited Macau! Some day I would like to visit America.

In May 1993 I went on holiday to Provence, France and Disneyland Paris. I travelled on the TGV train. In October 1994 I visited Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. In August 1995 I went to Legoland in Denmark and last year I went to the Legoland Park at Windsor in England. I now have Danish and English Legoland driving licences! I also went to Thorpe Park theme park (very wet!) and Henley Royal Regatta on my birthday. It was very boring! In 1997 I went on holiday to Greece, near Athens. I was made to visit the Acropolis and Sounion, but I preferred the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel!

Weymouth is my favourite beach because of all its attractions like the helter-skelter and trampolines.

In 1996 I joined the Sonning Brownies, the junior version of the Girl Guides, which I have recently joined. See Berkshire Guiding.

I went to my Great Grandad's 100th birthday party in February 1995.

I am on email via my Dad (please start "Dear Emma") but I can only read some of my email. Thank you for all the email that everyone has sent. I enjoy reading it. I am sorry I cannot reply to every message and be everybody's pen pal!

Last year I saw the films 101 Dalmations and Matilda at Christmas, based on the book by Roald Dahl. I like all Roald Dahl's children's books.

Mike Fab-Gere B*Witched My favourite pop group at the moment is B*witched. (See also here and here.) I like the All Saints girl band too. I watch Top of the Pops on TV. I also like Cartoon Network.
