Alice Mary Bowen [Audio welcome]

I am now 13 and in January I had a murder mystery birthday dinner party. I was the murderer!

My name is Alice Bowen and I live in Sonning, Oxfordshire, England, next to the River Thames. I was born on 8th January 1986. My flower is the carnation. I go to The Abbey School in Reading. Previously I went to Rupert House School, Henley-on-Thames. and the Squirrel School in Oxford.

I like singing. I sung Part 1 of Handel's Messiah with the village choir on 30th November 1997 and the solo for Once in Royal David's City at Christmas. I also like to play on the computer when I can stop Dad playing! My little sister is called Emma. Mum works in the River and Rowing Museum at Henley. I am a member of OXMUS, the Oxfordfordshire Museums Club for children.

Try my party hats!

I like the BBC Children's TV programme Blue Peter, especially the cats, Kari & Oke and Bonnie the dog. We have a cat called Rhubarb or "Rhuby" for short. Sadly his friend, Custard, died.

My favourite videos used to be Mr Bean and Disney. By the way the best games are on the Little Mermaid. (Don't worry if the colours change!) Now I prefer Black Adder by Rowan Atkinson from the BBC comedy.

I used to like Tintin books and I have a collection of issues. My favourite group is All Saints. I love Shaun the Sheep from Wallace and Gromit. I read Meg@.

My favourite seaside resort is Weymouth in Dorset where there is a sand modeller.

I have started bell ringing at St. Andrew's Church, Sonning.

Sounion In 1997 I went on holiday to Greece, staying at Glyfada just outside Athens. I visited the Acropolis and Sounion. Last year I went to The Netherlands. We stayed on the coast at Gran Dorado, Zandvoort. We went to Amsterdam where I visited the Anne Frank House and Rijksmuseum, and went on the Museumboot boat tour.

In summer 1999 I visited Macau, Hong Kong and China! On Monday 20th July I had Dim Sum at the Hotel Royal. On Tuesday 21st July I visited the New Yuan Ming Palace in Zhuhai, China.

My Great Grandad was 100 years old on 25th February 1995. I gave the speech at his party.

Here are my initials A. B. for you to colour - see others too. You can email me via my Dad (please start with "Dear Alice") although I can only access it every so often. Thank you for all the email everyone has sent. I like reading it but I don't have time to answer every message.

[Photograph] In August 1995 I went rowing on the river Cherwell with mum. I also visited Legoland in Denmark where I gained my Legoland driving licence! Last summer I visited Legoland Windsor in England. I was also at the Henley Royal Regatta and Thorpe Park theme park where I got wet! In August I went to Alton Towers and also saw the Hiss & Boo Company at The Mill at Sonning theatre.

I was Best Overall Cup Winner for Art at the 1998 Sonning Village Show. I sung at Eton College chapel on 16th June 1998 in a Royal School of Church Music service.

I like the films Men in Black and Titanic.
